In a special test ride event in Ladakh, the Himalayan Electric was pushed through extreme conditions. Top executives, including CEO B Govindarajan and Chief of Design Mark Wells, personally participated to evaluate the bike’s performance. Riders and onlookers praised its rugged design and off-road capabilities, which reflect Royal Enfield’s classic adventure touring DNA.

Testing in Ladakh allowed the team to assess battery efficiency, handling, and rider comfort on high-altitude trails. The Himalayan Electric keeps the familiar silhouette of the petrol model, with a tall windscreen, round headlamp, and single-piece seat, while integrating modern electric design features that suit long-distance touring.

Expected Launch and Price

The Himalayan Electric is expected to launch in India by December 2026. Early estimates suggest a price range of ₹7,00,000 to ₹8,00,000, making it a promising option for riders looking for an eco-friendly adventure bike.
