Range Rover Sport SV Carbon: A Lighter, Bolder Luxury SUV with V8 Power

Land Rover has revealed the Range Rover Sport SV Carbon, a model that raises the bar for performance and luxury. Unveiled ahead of its global debut at Monterey Car Week, this edition blends design, power and innovation in a striking new avatar.

The big highlight is its use of carbon. Forged carbon fibre trims are featured across the bonnet, bumpers, exhaust surrounds and interior. This isn’t just a cosmetic touch. It significantly reduces weight and sharpens the SUV’s sporty character. Top Gear calls it a version that’s packed with carbon to attract buyers who want all the power without added bulk.

Inside, the luxury is unmistakably Range Rover. Buyers can pick from three themes  Ebony, Rosewood and a leather-free Cinder Grey. Each setup includes sculpted performance seats with exposed carbon fibre backs and a sporty, premium dashboard layout. According to Land Rover’s media release, this new edition joins the SV and SV Black variants in the high-performance lineup.

Under the hood, it brings serious power. A 635 PS 4.4-litre twin-turbo mild-hybrid V8 takes it from 0 to 100 kmph in 3.8 seconds. That is supercar-level acceleration packed into a full-sized SUV. The 6D Dynamics suspension tech ensures it stays flat and stable through corners without sacrificing comfort. CarWale breaks down how this suspension setup improves driving confidence and ride quality.

You can even add carbon-ceramic brakes and 23-inch carbon fibre wheels for better performance and visual impact. Priced from £165,000, it can go up to £185,000 with optional upgrades. If you’re comparing it with other performance luxury SUVs, check out how it stacks up in Auto Express or PistonHeads.

The Range Rover Sport SV Carbon is more than a luxury SUV. It is a blend of performance, smart design and presence on the road that appeals to drivers who want thrill without compromise.
